Cirencester Deer Park School

Open Events

We recognise that making the right choice of secondary school for your child is very important. We look forward to welcoming prospective pupils and their parents to Cirencester Deer Park School.  Physically visiting Deer Park with your child will help you get a feel for our school and we recommend it as part of the process to find out whether Deer Park is right for your child. We encourage you to watch our Creating Futures videos on Joining Us.

Year 5 Open Mornings 2024

We hold Open Mornings specifically for Year 5 pupils and parents in June/July. Invitation letters have been sent direct to local primary schools to be distributed to Year 5 parents; local schools each have a specific Year 5 Open Morning date. There are two additional dates for pupils from 'out of area' schools. Attendance at our Year 5 Open Mornings must be booked in advance by completion and return of a reply slip.

Autumn Open Events 2024

In Autumn 2024 we will be holding two Open Mornings and an Open Evening. These events are open to everyone and do not require pre-booking. Check back here for more details closer to the time.

Explore our website

To further inform your planning and decision making, we encourage you to explore our website, and to watch our Creating Futures videos, filmed in 2020, which will help give you an overall picture of life at Deer Park. The Latest News highlights many of our pupils’ experiences and what we have been able to achieve together before, during and after lockdown.  We are immensely proud of the commitment of our staff, our rich and diverse provision and our pupils’ achievements.

Talk with others

We also encourage you to talk to people in the local community who are already connected with the school as parents, pupils, members of our local governing body or staff, who can provide first-hand experience of all that Deer Park can offer.  We have been inundated with positive feedback and praise for our provision for our pupils during lockdown, from both an educational and pastoral perspective, as well as for the plans we have put in place to ensure their safe return to school.

We recognise that not everyone will want to visit Cirencester Deer Park School in person in the Autumn Term, especially if they are already familiar with the school through older siblings. Therefore, we will ensure you will be able to find information about joining our school on our Admissions page.

We encourage parents to keep in contact with us and should you have any questions regarding admissions and the transition to Deer Park, please do not hesitate to contact Allison Boucher, our Admissions’ Secretary. She is able to arrange a personalised tour of the school throughout the year on request and can be contacted by phone on 01285 646558 or by emailing
