Wall-to-wall sunshine, water activities, picnics, challenges and fun.

What a week! During Enrichment Week 2018, a group of our (new) Year 10s were doing the Watersports option. The pupils had three days at South Cerney Outdoor Education Centre where they undertook canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing , paddleboarding and rafting. They were set different challenges in each activity and were graded on their ability to follow instructions and to listen, for teamwork and for enthusiasm. They had a great time and the one of the best bits was being able to fall into the lake when it got too hot!!

We also had two days at Cotswold Country Park. On Wednesday we did a five mile walk, followed by a massive picnic (which pupils failed to finish), games and swimming. Thursday morning was amazing as we had an Aquaventure session, which is like a Total Wipeout course - bodies were flying everywhere, including Mrs Hacker, Head of PE, and Mr Schlaefli!

Sam commented "For Enrichment Week I took part in watersports with Mrs Hacker. It was a great week which I spent with my friends. On Monday, Tuesday and Friday, we went to SCOEC and took part in lots of activities such as stand up paddle boarding and rafting; we also did sailing and windsurfing. On the other days we went to the Country Park. The best day of the week was when we went on the Wibit and relaxed by the beach, as well as having a massive picnic that we couldn’t finish!!"

It was a great week, where all the pupils were so well behaved; they got involved in all the activities and had fun. A big thank you to Mrs Hacker, Mrs Stubbs and Mr Schlaefli.
