Y8 Twickenham Trip

Watching rugby at Twickenham Stadium

The Deer Park Year 8 Talent ID pupils had a fantastic time at Twickenham Stadium, the home of England Rugby, on Thursday 21 March 2019 watching the NatWest School Rugby Finals. We were extremely fortunate to see some incredible rugby from the top sporting schools in the country and watched both Under 15 matches and one Under 18 match.

U15 Vase: Dartford Grammar School   7 - 22  Samuel Whitbread Academy
U15 Cup: Northampton School For Boys   5 -  23  Wellington College
U18 Vase: Samuel Whitbread Academy   43  -  25  Dauntsey's School

Our pupils were inspired by the high standards of skill and tactical play and thoroughly enjoyed the brilliant atmosphere and their day out. This trip was a reward for the hard work of the Year 8 Talent ID pupils over the last two years. Thank you to them all for showing such a good attitude throughout the day and in their extra curricular practices and matches during Year 7 and Year 8. Thank you too to Mr Bloomfield for accompanying me.

Mr Schlaefli, PE Teacher
