Junior Maths Challenge
Pupils in (new) Year 8 and 9 achieved 1 Gold, 5 Silvers and 12 Bronzes in this year’s UKMT Junior Maths Challenge.
Over 250,000 pupils across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving a Gold certificate, the next 13% Silver and the next 21% Bronze. The Cirencester Deer Park School highest achievers were Olivia in (new) Year 9 and Benjamin in (new) Year 8. Congratulations to everyone who took part and we hope to report equally good results next year.
“I enjoy doing the Maths Challenge because it enables me to think mathematically in a different way to normal classroom work. I enjoy problem solving and seeing how I compare to others in the UK.” Olivia (New Year 9)
