Careers Convention 2022

Where could you go? What could you become?

CAREERS CONVENTION
Tuesday 11 October 2022
6-8pm

at Cirencester Deer Park School

Each year Cirencester Deer Park School and Cirencester Kingshill School join together to create an exciting careers event that we hope will increase pupils' understanding of the world of work and the various progression routes beyond school.

This year's Careers Convention for all pupils in Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 will be held at Cirencester Deer Park School on Tuesday 11 October 2022, 6-8pm. We very much hope that pupils and their parents will attend this important event.

Over the next few months our young people will be making decisions that will affect their future. It is vital that they are equipped with as much information as possible.

Year 8:
These pupils may think it will be a long time before they need to make choices for their future, but it will soon be upon them. Attending the Convention will help them to start considering their futures.

Year 9:
Pupils will soon be considering option choices for Key Stage 4. This will be an excellent opportunity to look at universities and FE colleges to see what entry requirements are needed, as well as talking to employers to discover the skills and qualifications required in various occupational areas.

Years 10 & 11:
These pupils will soon be making choices for Post-16 progression, whether college, sixth form or apprenticeship. There will be people on hand to answer questions. It will also be worth looking at universities to gain an idea of entry requirements and the vast number of courses available.

Check the listing below for the different organisations that will be attending our Careers Convention, including a variety of companies, colleges and universities. The wealth of information that will be available will benefit all year groups.

We very much look forward to seeing you at Deer Park on Tuesday 11 October 2022.
