Upcoming Music

Musical events at Deer Park.

The Expressive Arts Faculty at Cirencester Deer Park School provides dynamic and exciting Music, Music Technology and Drama lessons, giving pupils opportunities to learn in a completely different way to other subjects. We also offer music tuition and run a variety of after school clubs. We always encourage participation, diversity and imagination and have three upcoming musical events:

Young Musician of the Year

Our annual Young Musician of the Year competition takes place on Wednesday 25 April 2018. This supportive competition is open to pupils across the school, from Year 7  to Year 11 and celebrates the musicality of the piece as well as the technical ability. We look forward to seeing and listening to our pupils on Wednesday evening!

Young Singer of the Year

On Wednesday 2 May 2018, our Expressive Arts Faculty will be hosting the 2nd annual Young Singer of the Year contest.

The final 20 singers, from Year 7 to Year 11, are currently practising hard on their performances ready to show off their talents to their parents, friends and judges!

VOCAL Songwriting Project

This year's ten week Year 8 Vocal Songwriting Project, in conjunction with The Songwriting Charity, will start on Thursday 3 May 2018. Pupils will write their own song from scratch, prepare a performance and, after 10 weeks, go away and record a video for it. There are a few places left, so any Year 8s still wanting to get involved can come to the Expressive Arts Office to get a letter.
