Open Mornings and Open Evening in September/October 2022

Everyone is welcome, and there is no need to book, to attend our September/October Open Mornings and Open Evening.

Please note: As Monday 19 September 2022 has been announced as a Bank Holiday for the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, School will be closed for the day. The Open Morning originally scheduled for Monday 19 September has been rescheduled to Monday 3 October.

Open Mornings

Tuesday 20 September 2022, 9.15am – 11.00am (arrival between 9.10am and 9.30am)
Monday 3 October 2022, 9.15am – 11.00am (arrival between 9.10am and 9.30am)

Richard Clutterbuck, Cirencester Deer Park School’s new Headteacher from September 2022, looks forward to welcoming parents and prospective pupils to Deer Park's Open Mornings. He will be joined by key members of the school’s leadership team. While the school will be operating as normal, there will be opportunities for you to tour the school in the company of existing pupils who will not only act as guides but will also reflect on their experiences and learning at the school. Our tours will begin promptly between 9.15am and 9.30am from the Main Hall as visitors arrive. You will see the school in action and learn how we challenge pupils to achieve more than they first think is possible. You will be able to engage in further discussion with staff and pupils. Once your guided tour has been completed, your pupil guide will take you back to the rear of the school where members of the school’s leadership team and other staff will be on hand at our Information Point next to the car park to respond to any questions you may have regarding the transition to and learning at Deer Park. There will be no formal presentation during the Open Mornings and all visitors will be off site by 11.00am.

'Festival of Learning' Open Evening

Wednesday 28 September 2022, 5.30pm – 8.00pm (arrival between 5.30pm and 6.45pm)

Cirencester Deer Park School’s ‘Festival of Learning’ Open Evening provides a further exciting opportunity for prospective pupils and their parents to visit the school together. During the evening you will be invited to tour the school, engage in ‘hands on’ and immersive family learning and participate in extra-curricular activities. You will be able to talk to our Heads of Faculty, subject teachers and support staff to learn more about our curriculum, the challenges and support available. In 3 repeat presentations during the evening at 5.40pm, 6.20pm and 7.00pm in the Main Hall, Headteacher Richard Clutterbuck and his team, including current pupils, will present their vision for learning at the school and share Deer Park’s commitment to ‘being the best we can be, every day’. Refreshments will be provided by The Friends of Cirencester Deer Park School in the school’s Atrium.
