We are looking forward to welcoming prospective pupils and their parents to our Open Evening on Wednesday 27 September.
Prospective pupils and their parents will have the opportunity to look around our school and meet with pupils and teachers at our September Open Mornings (9.15-11.15am) on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 September and Open Evening (6.30-8.30pm) on Wednesday 27 September 2017.
There is a lot to see and learn here at Cirencester Deer Park School.
We are excited by the developments currently taking place at the School. These include a new 8 classroom extension to our main building for September 2018 and a freshly laid astroturf which will enhance our sports facilities, as well as rehearsals for Legally Blonde Jr and the development of an all through multi-academy trust in partnership with local primary schools.
During both Open Mornings on Monday 18 September and Tuesday 19 September the school will be in ‘normal session’, but each family will have the opportunity to take a tour in the company of our current pupils who will share their experiences of life and learning at Deer Park.
At our Open Evening on Wednesday 27 September, a strong emphasis will be placed on engagement and active participation. Across the school there will be practical learning activities for your child to try and, while they are taking on these new challenges, you will have the opportunity to talk to our subject teachers and learn more about our curriculum, the challenges and support available.
While each event will be very pupil focused, Headteacher, Chiquita Henson, and other members of staff, including our Year 7 Year Leader, Mrs Hannis, will be on hand to respond to any questions you may have regarding the transition to secondary school.
We look forward to reflecting on your experience of Deer Park with you towards the end of our Open Evening. During my presentation at 7.45pm in the Main Hall, which closes the event to ensure you and your child have plenty of time to explore our school, I will share our ambition for our pupils.
Chiquita Henson, Headteacher
Booking is not required for these September events and all prospective pupils and parents can visit, regardless of year.
