Show My Homework
On Tuesday 6 June, the start of our new academic year, we launched a new online homework system with pupils called Show My Homework.
This cloud-based system allows pupils to access their homework via iDeer as previously or via a link on our website (small icon top right next to the Twitter icon).
However, the exciting thing is that they are able to download a free app from the App Store or Google Play and – once they have their PIN number, which will be emailed to them - will be able to log in and access their own specific homework on their mobile devices or via the website.
Parents can look at the whole school Homework Calendar via our website and search for their child/children’s homework. Following our (new) Year 10 Parents' Learning Conference last night we will be trialling the app with a group of those parents before launching it to all parents. When we launch to parents, you will receive a login with a PIN number that can be used to access your account from the Show My Homework website or the app on a mobile device. From your Dashboard, you will be able to see any pupil accounts linked to you, so if you have more than one child at the school, you only need one login.
Assuming that pupils have access to the internet at home, they should never miss a homework deadline as, even if they forget their login, they can access their tasks via the whole school Homework Calendar – using the drop-down filters makes it easy to find specific pieces. Parents can monitor their child’s homework progress and know their deadlines. As previously, any relevant resources will be attached to the piece of homework. There is clear signposting of deadlines and expectations e.g. This homework will take approximately 30 minutes. Mrs Sarna would like you to hand in this homework in class.

Computers are available in school – in the PLC and computer rooms (with teacher's permission) – for any pupils who cannot access the internet at home and we will continue to use log books for some pupils.
