Gloucestershire Academies Funding

Academies in Gloucestershire are receiving significantly less funding per pupil than in many other counties to purchase services which were previously provided by the Local Authority. For example in 2012 Gloucestershire secondary academies will receive £156 per pupil for central services. For comparison, the rates in some other similar counties are as follows – Dorset £262, Somerset £319 and Shropshire £232.
