Pupil ServicesWe recognise that as individuals, pupils have different needs and respond to challenges in different ways. Our Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Pupil Services teams are designed to ensure that all pupils can thrive at Deer Park. The experienced teams include the pastoral leadership team, tutors, support staff and 'expert' professionals. They play an important part in the development of all children and work closely with parents and external agencies. The team provides essential pastoral support, rewards and sanctions, first aid, counselling, mediation, conflict resolution, behaviour or anger management, literacy and numeracy support,dyslexia and English as an additional language workshop. Beyond the visible curriculum...Our comprehensive range of enrichment and extra-curricular clubs and activities help our pupils develop various skills and attributes. Lunchtime and after school clubs include Sports (dance, hockey, football, athletics, basketball, rugby, cricket, badminton, gymnastics, tennis, table tennis), Languages, Expressive Arts (drama, choir, jazz club, rock ensemble, orchestra, steel band), Computing and Science. Each year we run concerts, school productions, Science and Sports Fairs on site and organise field trips, museum visits, European tours and exchange visits, outdoor pursuits and Duke of Edinburgh Award, enterprise and work-related learning and much much more!
