For three days a week, every week since the beginning of November, scores of Primary pupils have flocked to Deer Park to take part in after school clubs. They have been involved in many European festive activities and found out how people celebrate Xmas in different countries. They have sampled food, sung songs and made Christmas decorations. Other pupils have explored scientific ideas and made custard bounce as well designing and making rockets. With Miss Cato they have transformed T-shirts by using a range of sewing skills and made some amusing Secret Pocket T-shirts with tongues, mouths and ears! One girl commented ”I think this is really fun and I enjoyed using the sewing machine the most!" Mathemania has proved to be very popular and as one child said,”it is great fun and you learn things you haven’t even thought about before, while playing games!” Animations Attack has been so popular that it is fully booked for next term already! The thought of making models out of lego or plasticine and then filming them has really captured the children’s imagination!
