You are here: Our School / Our Governors
Members of our governing body show a keen interest in the development of life within the school. Significantly, most are either current or former parents of pupils of the school. The governors meet regularly and receive reports on the school’s activities to enable them to make informed strategic decisions. In May 2010, Ofsted found them to be ‘well equipped for their role in providing support and challenge to the school’ and concluded that ‘financial planning and controls are excellent, systematically implementing priorities in the school’s development plan’.
The governing body contributes to our rigorous and on-going self-evaluation and, in order to improve their own effectiveness as a team, governors are currently working towards achieving the quality award, ‘Governor Mark’.
Governors are linked to faculties and teams within the school and attend school events. The following profiles are designed to introduce the governors and to show the range of experience they bring to the school.
