Introduction to Academy Status
Following the General Election in May, the government invited outstanding schools such as Cirencester Deer Park School to apply for Academy status.
Since September the school’s leadership team and our governing body have been considering whether the school should convert into an academy. Following a series of meetings, presentations from the Local Authority and schools which have already converted and our attendance at several conferences, Governors took the decision at a meeting on Friday 12 November to ‘proceed towards conversion’ and we would now like to consult more widely with you, our pupils, staff and representatives within our local community to inform our final decision.
