Revision Tips

Monday 21 March 2011

With only 8 weeks to go until Year 11 leave, lots of people will be giving lots of tips on how to revise. The most important tip is to do what works for you! Whatever you decide to do, stay active! Don't simply sit and read your notes again and again until your brain wants to explode. Get involved. Mix it up a bit. Try some new ideas. Do something with the information you are trying to remember.

The key to success in exams is revision. The key to successful revision is planning. Failing to plan is planning to fail – don’t be the one who doesn’t take it seriously. You should be working to a plan by now. You can download a simple revision planner sheet below. The next few months are going to bring pressure, but with hard work, determination, a positive attitude and planning, you can make the most out of your remaining time at Deer Park and maximise your chances of success in the summer. Check out our comprehensive revision and exam tips guide - One Stop Revision Shop - on iDeer.

Finally, remember to talk to your teachers. Ask their advice and get those past papers back to them for marking.
