KS3 : Pupils in KS3 are now in their new groups and are following the new curriculum. The changes mean that KS3 pupils no longer have an indoor and outdoor lesson but follow one activity for a block of time. Cricket, rounders, athletics and tennis fixtures are well under way and there are practices after school for all these activities.
KS4: The new Year 10 have started their chosen courses, with the GCSE group following the new specification. Both year groups have been given a chance to opt for activities which include activities off-site as well as in school.

We are actively working towards increasing the number of young people participating, leading and volunteering in sport. The Government's PE and Sport Strategy for Young People has a target of offering young people five hours of high quality PE and sport a week by 2012. This should be made up of two hours of physical education within the curriculum and three hours offered on school sites or in the community.
