Ofsted Inspection Update

On Wednesday 12 May and Thursday 13 May we welcomed a team of six Ofsted Inspectors to the school exactly three years and one week since our last inspection. We received notification of their visit on Monday 10 May and shared our own self-evaluation with them.
Over the two days the team observed 31 lessons, met with staff and talked to pupils about their experience of the school. They scrutinised our pupils’ work, looked at our documentation and wandered the site over breaks and lunchtimes. Inspectors commended the behaviour of our pupils and commented positively on the range of opportunities they have at Deer Park.
Consequently, from the initial feedback, we understand the team of inspectors left with a very favourable impression of the school. We look forward to receiving the final report on their visit when it is published in three weeks’ time.
