London Marathon Runner

Congratulations to our Librarian Alison Foppoli who ran the 30th London Marathon on Sunday April 25th. Alison finished in 04:38:28 which is great result, especially as she started running only two years ago with her catchphrase "Don't talk to me. I can't run and speak"! The London Marathon is a great sporting event combining top athletes, mass participation and huge fund raising. Over 36,000 runners finished the staggering 26 miles 385 yards this year.

Alison feels it is very important to show children that keeping fit is a way of life and is raising money for Barnardo's in order to help underprivileged children in the UK. If you would like to help, you can donate online via Alison’s Virgin Money Giving Fundraising page.
