Let's Get Creative

October 2009
With Cirencester Deer Park being recognised as a School of Creativity earlier this year it’s time to exercise our creative muscles! Year 10 have been taking some great photographs for their coursework and you can see some examples here.

There's a new Photography Club starting in conjuction with Cirencester College after half term - it will run every other Thursday at the college, 3.30-5.30pm, starting 12th November. See Miss Norman in Expressive Arts for a form if you are interested - you need parental consent.

Ecoschools are running a photo competition 'love where you live' with not for profit recycling organisation Alupro, which encourages pupils to take notice of their local surroundings - what’s beautiful and what’s not so great - so they learn to enjoy it, and look after it. >> Find out more

We’re also gearing up for the school production of Fame! Which takes place at the end of November and colourful leg-warmers have started to make a re-appearance around school (but only during rehearsals!)

Finally the Friends of Deer Park School have been busy creating a Murder Mystery evening which will take place on Friday 13th November. Rumour has it that a senior member of school staff meets an untimely end and your task is to find out whodunnit! Tickets are available from Reception.

We hope you have a restful (and creative?) half term break and look forward to welcoming pupils back to school on Monday 2nd November (which will be a week 1).
