Enrichment Week

Monday 5 July 2010

This week pupils and staff of Deer Park School will enrich their learning through a range of activities and visits both in this country and across Europe.

Pupils from Year 7 to Year 10 will engage with different communities, whether on the Music Tour in the French Alps playing a series of concerts in different venues, or acting and performing with a Community Theatre project in local Primary Schools, or studying at an English University undertaking an Engineering specialist course. Year 10 pupils have the opportunity of experiencing the world of work in placements around the Cotswolds and beyond, including placements in Germany and Switzerland.

Personal challenges will be undertaken by all pupils over the Enrichment Week period, whether this is the experience of the endurance tasks of the Duke of Edinburgh Award or being away from home for an extended period of time and the development of self confidence and becoming more self assured.

Enrichment Week at Deer Park School is a special event that requires the partnership of pupils, parents, teachers, trip leaders and the Local Authority in making the week a life long learning experience for our pupils and staff.

A special thank you must go out to the trip leaders and their teams for their dedication in making their activities special for their participants.
